Welcome to my blog, Muse of Reading. 

This site is dedicated to my dearest love: books. 

As a former English teacher and school librarian, I write for my students, hoping readers will find themselves on the page while recognizing the experiences of others. I write broadly in the children's literature realm, from picture books, to middle grade nonfiction, to young adult contemporary. Recently, I spoke on a panel along with Margaret Peterson Haddix at the Great Lake Area Literature Festival, sharing insights on my novel, The Fullington Road Monster. My traditionally published young adult novel was one of Ohio Educational Library Media Association's Favorite Books of 2025. My middle grade contemporary novel, Revenge Baking, will be published in the Spring of 2027 by Wild Ink Publishing. I also co-edited the Lost Boys Press anthology Heroes.
